"Students enrolled in our program have been very successful in obtaining admission to veterinary and graduate schools of their choice or in gaining employment. Our best students often have multiple offers. Former students indicate a high level of satisfaction with their preparation for further education and for employment."

Careers

The majority of our students plan to pursue careers in veterinary medicine. Over the past decade or so, about 8 out of 10 Penn State graduates who were admitted to veterinary school were Animal Bioscience graduates.

An addition, with proper course selection, students can prepare for a wide variety of careers, including:

  • Graduate school in any biomedical field, as well as medical school
  • Research in the pharmaceutical industry, in government laboratories, at private foundations, or at academic institutions.
